About Big Time Brewery & Alehouse

Big Time Brewery opened its doors in December 8th, 1988 and we have been brewing and serving craft beer ever since. We are Seattle's original brew pub. A classic American Alehouse located in an brick building with high ceilings and lots of stained wood. The pub has an antique bar.

Big Time usually has at least 12 beers on tap, plus a featured cask-conditioned "real ale" on the hand pump. Our standard brews are: Scarlet Fire IPA, Atlas Amber Ale and Coal Creek Porter which are on tap at all times. The other three taps and the cask conditioned pump rotate from week to week with some of the many specialty beers we produce over the year.

The brewery is a 14 barrel JV Northwest system consisting of a gas fired brew kettle, an infusion mash tun with mixer, a hot liquor back, a wort cooler, (5) 14 barrel fermenters, a bright beer tank, and (20) 7 bbl serving tanks.

The kitchen features pizza, sandwiches, burgers, salads and tasty snacks. We serve generous portions at very reasonable prices. Food is available until 11:00pm.

Thank you so much for coming out despite all that's going on right now! It was super cool to have someone come in almost-late and do the whole thing by himself, no teammates at all, and win it! One Man Band, I salute you. If we're all still alive by next Wednesday, I'll see you then. If not, signing off. I hope the aliens can learn a lot about our culture using all the old King Trivia questions.

The night was filled with ups and downs, twists and turns. As we braved the COVID-19 outbreak to partake in the stress relief of trivia competition. We had four teams go head to head with a spattering of on-lookers who watched things heat up in the first few rounds.

Healthcare for All began with a solid start but it slowly slipped away with a wrong answer in Guess Who and a failed Double Or Nothing in the 6th round. From straight out of the gate, Hard Boiled Ovaries were the team to beat, working strongly towards the end. The delightful surprise of the night was Qutaiba's Qrew who turned out to be a strong contender against their rivals but leaped forward with the successful Double Or Nothing play and took the first place!

Such a great night!
