Making friends, Q&A and having fun, it's what we do at King Trivia. The small, but growing game at Billingsley -- saw Philadelphia camaraderie coalesce into a new a team at the bar, the newly named Hiyuwatha gang continue to stake their claim as the trivia champs at Billinglsey's, and a couple of unsuspecting dinner groups try their hand, and succeed at a rousing game of trivia.

But tonight's champs used a strong first round, a game clinching matching double (including challenging and winning said challenge over your trivia master re: a lack of matching option that WAS indeed the correct answer), and powered to a convincing win.

Second place was decided by a single point -- sometimes knowing the truth about Hugh Jackman DOES win you money.

The event held on Sept.19th, 2018 was my first event ever and I received so much love from the game's participants. I was welcomed immediately by warm spirits and had a blast. The game began with the rules of King Trivia since some participants were playing for the first time as well. The game was super fun, the audience was humorous with the questions and overall it was a great time. The bar cats definitely kept everyone engaged with their surprising double or nothing on round 5! Team Tony was a blast with keeping a suspenseful tie during the entire game. And team Alicia stayed in the game with a great heart to 'coast to the finish'. Last night was definitely a blast, tons of laughs, tons of smiles and everyone ended up walking away with a prize because hey we are all winners! Great first night hosting, hope to see y'all again sometime soon!

Double or nothing can make you or break you. Tonight, it did both - depending on the team. For Tapioca and Electra, double or nothing successes powered them through the game. For the Eggheads, a couple of double or nothing misses forced them to take some ultimately-unsuccessful double or nothing risks, leading to a tough evening. Nevertheless, a great time was had by all.
