QUIZ RECAP

I feel like a broken record, but this week's game was just as close and exciting as the last several. These trivia teams are going to give me a heart attack from all this intense competition! This week Rejects from Hell we're out for revenge after losing a tie breaker and getting 4th place last week. They did double or nothing almost every round and got zero points for rounds two and three. I was sure that Rejects from Hell we're out of the game, but they proved me wrong. They kept up the double or nothings and got 20 points for rounds five and six and managed to grab third place. In second place we had the Mild Stallions, who of course did very well on a horse themed picture round. In first was GBNO who played a very consistent game and double or nothinged in round six to secure the win.

A final noteworthy aspect of the game was a team called Worst First Date, which consisted of a couple who was actually on a first date. I hope that the date went well, and it was nice to have love in the air in addition to the competition this week at Brouwerij West!

QUIZ RECAP

This week at Brouwerij West was the definition of a close game. At the end of rounds one, two, and three we had four teams tied for first place! These teams stayed close together the whole game and we ended with a three way tie for second place! That's never happened to me before as a quizmaster. After all the tie breakers were said and done we had That's a Tasty Burger in first place, Cat Earth Society in second place, the Mild Stallions in third, and joining us as a new team this week Hell's Rejects lost the three way tie breaker and got fourth. This was one of the highest scoring nights I can remember too with That's a Tasty Burger scoring an impressive 84 points. You can tell that summer is in the air because of the terrific crowds and beautiful evenings we have been having at Trivia lately. The competition just continues to ramp up each week at Brouwerij West.

QUIZ RECAP

I have never seen teams shift places quite as much as this week at Brouwerij West. Throughout the night teams regularly leaped from first place to last place and then back to first, making for an especially exciting game. In third place this week we had Counter Intelligence, in second place was the Mild Stallions, and in first place we had Maybe This Time.

Just to highlight how much shifting happened this week The Mild Stallions started the game in second place then did a double or nothing in round two, but missed one question and fell to last place. Then they managed to double or nothing in round six and snag second place. Similarly, Maybe This Time was behind until round five when they did a double or nothing and started to come back, and then in round six they did another double or nothing which secured them first place. I should also make a shoutout to the Brewsual Suspects, who were in first place for most of the game, but then fell to third place and lost a tie breaker to Counter Intelligence and ended the game in fourth place.

The lesson from this week is that anything can happen in a game. Starting out in last place is no indication of how the game will end. Any team could be victorious and walk away with a prize. The real question is whether you are bold enough to keep playing. It could be anybody's game next week at Brouwerij West!
