HOLY GUACAMOLE. When I signed up to cover this shift they texted me you'll need your amp, and I thought, yeah no big deal I don't leave home without it.

When I tell you there was an onslaught on the trivia table tonight that's an understatement. We had 17 teams, and what felt like 1 million players.

The venue was very hospitable, shoutout to the manager, wait and bar staff. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating.

17 teams started the game and 14 finished. The top two received a $50 and $25 value at the venue, and third place was awarded a hodgepodge of free beers.

This is a place that takes trivia seriously, most teams were registered and everyone came to play. Here's the breakdown of how it went. In first place with 92 points, Amateur Hour. In second with 82 points, Let's Get Quizzical, and in 3rd place with 78 points, No Pants Party.

Honorable mentions to all the other players. This spot is POPPPPPPIN. Come check out King Trivia every Tuesday at 7:30 pm if you can get a seat! We even opened it up to the outside deck for a few folks with K-9 friends on their team.

One of the best nights of King Trivia ever ... Jessica's Team doubled in Round 1 and that one decision allowed them to stay on top, by an inch, the entire game. Out of nowhere, J.C.'s Bacon Dream doubled in Round 4, when all the other teams struggled, allowing them to leap into contention. Two Words Only had had a solid lock on 2nd, but by unsuccessfully doubling in Round 7, they ceded 2nd place to J.C., taking 3rd place for the evening.

Hats off to Let's Check In for a near perfect game ... taking 1st place with a whopping 97 points. Jessica's Team was the closest competition with 73 points. We wound up with a tie for 3rd, between Quizzical and Pandemonium. In the end, the tie-breaking question gave Quizzical the 3rd place slot.
