About Concrete Jungle & Surf Brewery

In modern times, Surf Brewery® was the first packaging craft microbrewery in Ventura County CA, when opened June 2011. We continue the small business support and service by self distributing our kegs and bottles in Ventura County. We want to continue the great tradition of California breweries. Like Adam Schuppert Brewery, the first in California started in 1849, Anchor Brewering Co., considered the first craft beer in America and the New Albion Brewery, considered the first microbrewery in the United States. We strongly believe California beer is the best in the World!

It was a scorcher in SoCal, but we had a great time playing some trivia! It was a relatively close game until a successful double-down in round 6 by the Ball Carriers (pictured) clinched first place for them. They really knew their fonts!

And yes, I got a little ahead of myself last week thinking that Halloween was *this* week when it's actually *next* week. Looking forward to some spooky Halloween trivia!

Tonight's quiz was a tough one, and the scores reflect it. No successful doubles, and a late-joining team who was just as much a contender as those that started the game. After running a very close game, PDO (pictured) edged out the Chicken Tenders by a single point!

This inaugural game was a lot of fun. The teams were neck and neck for most of the night. GTFO Team took a chance at the 10-point clue on Guess Who and missed, taking a 1-point hit while the other teams scored 6 points. In round 6, though, the GTFO Team hit a subject they knew a lot about and successfully doubled down on professional basketball. Round 7 wasn't enough to make up for that lead.
