This week with Deuce’s Wild Brewery we had some familiar faces and plenty of new faces. First couple of rounds gave us a tie to begin with, however by round 4 team Colorado Winter established themselves firmly in the lead, and they kept it the whole way through, placing Wet Syrup in second.
The bonus round this week was a holiday themed name and draw the 12 reindeer. That’s right, TWELVE. Yes, I jest as there are 9 when including Rudolph, but it was fun watching everyone scramble and head scratch. Next weeks bonus round will be even better!

Every week in trivia is more fun than the week before! The Chasers (AKA Chasers 2 because of technical difficulty) won the bonus round- draw the hostess, earning a round of drinks for each team member. It was a close call, but the team added a joke comment to the drawing, bringing in the win!!!
This week we had to bust out the tie braker to determine the true winner. Once again, we had several rounds tie for first and second place, and the final two rounds made all the difference for the winning team. Cracked Femur won a tie braker to win third place, second was placed by Wings and Pizza, and Wet Syrup bringing in the lead!

This week at DWB we had some real think tanks and excellent collaboration amongst the teams. Each team would not only put their heads together, but we also had friendly fire amongst opposing teams. Yes, a lot of that fire was directed at yours truly, Sara the Quiz Mistress, and I reveled in the opportunity to fire back.
For 5 consecutive rounds the top two teams were separated by ONE SINGLE POINT! This really put the pressure on the final round, but the sports fan in team Broken Femur took the spotlight and gained a 10-point lead, placing Eman Maet (teammate spelled backwards, how clever is that??) solidly in second place. Each team had 4 players, making these rounds balanced in brain waves and overall, a very closely matched game.
Can’t wait for next week, come on down and throw me some slander, my blood orange ale will fuel my comeback to keep us all on our toes!
