The Pub at Golden Road is a full-service, family-friendly environment located just a stone’s throw from Griffith Park in Atwater Village. Open 7 days a week, The Pub offers ample indoor and outdoor seating, over a dozen Golden Road beers on tap, and games for the young (and young at heart).

On the other hand, who's afraid of a little rain, eh!? Not the good, stalwart, intrepid quizzers that turned out this week at Golden Road Brewery in Glendale.
The sideyard patio, with its retractable walls and excellent heaters, was a roasty, toasty, cozy environment that saw The Bad Explainers emerge at the head of the pack with an excellent score of 75, followed (just two points behind) by a tie between Hamberder Partrol and Lando Caltrivians with 73.
The tie-breaker question -- What is the word count of Charles Dickens' novel Great Expectations? -- settled the matter in Hamberder's favor, but everyone in attendance were winners in our book, overcoming rain and cold and dark of night, to engage in our festival of trivia fun.

And...we're BACK!!
It was a celebrative crowd that gathered at Golden Road Brewery this week. After a two-month holiday hiatus, our eclectic cadre of enthusiastic quizzers were eager to get back to competing for glory and gift certificates in the side yard patio of this wonderful venue.
A big thank you for the many warm "welcome back - we missed you!" sentiments that came my way last night. We missed you too, and the robust crowd of old friends and new players warmed the heart of this grizzled, jaded, emotionally detached quizmaster.
We laughed; we cried. But in the end, it was as if we'd never taken a nine-week break. The competition was fierce, and the smartass comment hysterical. Happy New Year, one and all. See ya next week!

It was a delightfully spooky Halloween eve this week at Golden Road Brewery. We closed out our 2018 trivia campaign with a rousing crowd of 22 terrifying teams. Terrifyingly terrific, that is!
And yes, I said we closed out 2018 last night. Golden Road is taking a short trivia hiatus to focus their energies on the holidays, corporate parties and - you know - brewing fine beer.
We will be back at the brewery in January, 2019, and we're already looking forward to seeing all of our regulars - and making lots of new friends in January.
