With League play now underway, the competition was fierce among out top teams this week at Golden Road Brewery in Glendale. Heiroglyphic Buttjam finished in the top spot with an impressive score of 93, just seven points ahead of tournament stalwart The Bad Explainers,
The Explainers might have won the night, having debated among themselves about taking the double-or-nothing option on Round 6, but ultimately chose to play it safe, proving yet again the old adage, "nothing ventured, nothing gained!
Happy Brad Day didn't finish in the top three, but had a great time celebrating team member Molly's birthday with us. Hope you had a great night, Molly. You don't look a day over whatever age you are!
See y'all next week.
Can you tell me how to get; how to get to Sesame Streetwalkers That's them, right there in photo #1, looking all happy and self-satisfied after finishing with an incredible 88 points this week at Golden Road Brewery in Glendale.
What'll 88 points get ya at Golden Road? Well, more often than not, it'll get you a win and a gift certificate, AND, as was the case last night, the admiration and respect of the 14 other teams that came in behind you!!
Okay, that's not true! It doesn't get ya admiration and respect! It generates a single minded determination to knock you off your first place perch by teams like Hyroglyphic Buttjam (2nd place; 86 points) and Muchos Amigos (3rd place; 81 points)!
And it's all about the winning, for many of our most competitive King Trivia teams, as Season 9 League play got underway this very week. And you know what League play means, doncha!? It means another $10,000 tournament is in our future!!
If you haven't yet done so, register your team and get in the game for real. We can't all be the King. but we treat our KT League teams like royalty! See ya next week.
"Oh thank GOD you're back! We were afraid that Scottish woman was gonna host again!"
-- A Golden Road Regular at Tuesday Night Trivia!
I know, I know. I love you guys, too! And yes, I saw how that mean Hanna "the Banana" fill-in quizmaster trash talked me in the recap last week. There it is, right below this recap. Scroll down to see for yourself just how mean Ms. Hanna can be!
Little known fact: Hanna was the inspiration for the movie "Mean Girls." And to those three guys who told me that they liked her because she's younger, better looking and more personable than me, and that they hope she comes back soon, let me just say be careful what you wish for. She may seem appealing on the surface, but she'd break your hearts, chew you up for lunch and spit out your bones!
And then laugh about it. Oh yes, she'd have a good laugh about that. Wanna know more? Check out this video.
And for those of you wondering why I'm picking on this sweet, innocent, defenseless girl, just know that SHE STARTED IT!!
See ya next week! (Not YOU, Hanna!)
