A Tremendous nice of fun, frolic and trivia at Golden Road Brewery.

Easy as A..B..C.. lived up to their name by winning the night, but It's All in The Cards managed to score 22 points after showing up late and only playing a couple of rounds. I wonder what they might have scored if they'd played the whole game?

Perhaps we'll find out next week, when we gather once again to test out intellectual acumen...and drink some delicious beer! See y'all then!

Here's something you probably won't find on your word-of-the-day calendar:
"French Letter" - A Condom

You know, a night of fun and frolic at a King Trivia event can be many things to many people. A competition; a test; an opportunity for collegial bonding; a personal challenge or simply an evening of entertainment. But no matter what else it might be, an evening of King Trivia is an opportunity to be exposed to an array of information you might otherwise never encounter.

Which brings us to last night's Facebook Question of the Day (aka the KT-FB-QotD): what item, commonly found in drug stores, was known to Victorians as a "French letter"? Hmmm...what, indeed? I mean, we're talking about the French here, right? And it's found in a drug store? Whatever could it be!? Could be ANYTHING!!

Well, we all learned a little something last night, didn't we? And you'll  certainly be sending a message if you agree to use one of these. But why? WHY did the Victorians refer to condoms as French Letters? Some thoughts on that HERE.

See y'all next week.
