The fine folks who comprise the King Trivia fan base are a wonderfully eclectic, truly unique group of people. And some of them are funny! (Not funny "ha ha." Funny in the head.)
It's always good fun when a team just goes for it, and makes up an answer to a question that they don't actually know the answer to. And such was the case this week at Golden Road Brewery in Glendale, when, during Round Three, our quizinators were asked to name the cat in Stephen King's horror classic Pet Sematary.
So what would be a good name for an evil, undead cat that comes back from the dead to terrorize its family? Well, Mr. King gave the cat a name that conflates evil and religion (See below) but, as always, you can count on King Trivia Quizzers to offer delightful alternate names. Such as:

If there are two things this quizmaster really loves they'd definitely be an evening of intense trivia competition and a delightful team name that twists the tongue a bit. And we had both this week at Golden Road Brewery in Glendale.
Now, we've said it many times, but it's worth repeating: there is just no venue quite like the side yard patio at Golden Road for an evening of challenging trivia competition. And let's face it - GR is where trivia lovers come to test themselves against the very best!
And this week's quiz was no exception! Our top three teams finished with scores of 64, 63 and 62 points - a stairstep finish that reflects just how tight the scoring was throughout the evening. We applaud Dung on the Stubble, Dolly Fartin's and The Betty White Privilege for their exceptional performance, and give a special tip-of-the-trivia-cap salute to Mike Pence None The Richer, which would have won the night with a score of 65 if they hadn't opted to double unsuccessfully in the final round! (Ouch! That's gotta hurt!)
And while we're at it, we'll tip our cap also to the Flea Flockers, who not only scored an impressive 51 points, but also gave us a delightfully fun team name to enunciate oh-so-carefully all night! Well done, Flockers!
