Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

On Sunday night we had a battle roayl for trivia dominance at Husicks. 10 teams enter, one team leaves.

Unfortunantly a few teams were not able to stay the whole time due to not realizing there was going to be trivia and figured they'd play a few rounds while their family finished dinner, so shout out to the aptly titled "Pulling Out Early" and "SundayFunday".

Holding up the near was "Aquaholics", "Team Cornbread", and "Greenbastards": one team that used a liberal amount of unsucessful double-or-nothings, one team was the family of the bar owner, and one team was just my girlfriend.

"Sugar Tits" showed up during the third round, but managed a strong preformance overall, nearly catching "Loony Luna".

In the Top 3 we had "Yolo's Finest", easily the most excited of the bunch when their answers were correct, regardless of how easy the question is. What color is Cookie Monster? Blue. HOOORAY! They were edged out of second place by a single point in "Pocket Tribe".

In first place we had CJ's "Big Stumpers", named after the midtown bar "Big Stump" where you can play King Trivia Wednesday nights at 7pm.

Hey everyone, we did a trivia on Thursday! It was a fun time and we had a lot of fun teams.

BAT played hard, but even with their Kato Kaelin look-alike they were not able to pull it out, placing in fourth. Steve was here, named after what they assumed my name would be by how I look. I always thought I was more of a James, but guess not.

Life of the Donnor Party and Pdude fought hard for the first place spot, with the game coming down to a series of sucessful and unsucesful instances of Double or Nothing, but in the end Pdude came out ahead when Life of the Donnor Party was unable to specify the type of bars in women's olympics.

QUIZ RECAP

On Thursday night Husick's found itself to be the home to a pitched battle between cousins: one on side we had local hero Kyra. On the other, the foreign interloper in Jordan.

The game started innocently enough, with the two cousins sharing a table and answering questions. Then the team names began: Jordan lobbing the first bomb with "Kyra sucks" and Kyra throwing back with "Jordan sucka the cheeseballs". Jordan, a Wisconsinite, was deeply offended. It meant war.

Unfortunantly the two discovered that cousin powers include the ability to share knowledge as they did equally poorly round after round, with advantages being made one point at a time. Seasame Street? What's that.

We found ourselves in Round 6: the matching round. Local hero Kyra found herself to fail to randomly match even a single pair while Jordan got...like two or something. The nail came into Kyra's coffin with the List Round -- where she only managed to answer 4 airlines to Jordan's 7, nowhere near enough to bridge the gap.

But now Jordan has a gift card so he'll have to play back so the real winner of trivia was Southwest or whichever airline he flies on.
