We had another exciting night of trivia at The Local Grille the Dome. Four teams battled for supremacy all night! It was a close game with three teams being tied for first throughout much of the night and it wasn't even the same teams! It looked like Hit it and Quiz it were out of it because they were trailing the leaders only to go double or nothing and end up tied for first place! After naming the states that start with G in the U.N. , the final score left Capers out in front with 39 points while the other 3 teams were all tied for second with 38 points! In our TieBreaker round Hit it or Quiz it came closest to correctly guessing the population of Greece and walked away with the second place prize!

Another great night of Trivia at the Local Grille at the Golf Dome! Tonight we had three teams vying for supremacy, The Hippoteers, Fireside Blackstone, and Bills Mafia. Teams came out swinging in the first round answering most of the questions correctly and ending up closely bunched score wise. Fireside Blackstone edged out Hippoteers for first in the second round by correctly identifying more female athletes. The third round "If you Wallaby My Lover" challenged teams to answer questions about Marsupials and Love stories. Teams excelled at the love stories and decided they needed to study up a bit on the marsupials 🦥🦘🐨😆. After this round, Fireside Blackstone retained the lead with the Hippoteers a close second and Bills Mafia bringing up the rear. Our Guess Who round stumped the teams up until question 4 when they guessed correctly for Big Bird! Round Five, Guess the Connection was another great round. Teams groaned as I revealed the connection was Bill or Bills! We had a few movie buffs who were looking forward to round Six where they matched the actor to the film. Round Seven had us naming the 5 top cities and National Parks in the US. The answers were surprising and resulted in a change in the lead for the overall night with The Hippoteers sliding past Firestone Blackstone to take the win by one point with Bills Mafia bringing up the rear. A great time was had by all and we are eagerly awaiting a rematch next week!

A great time was had by all at the Local Grille at The Dome! Two teams battled for supremacy tonight. We had the Youngins battling against their parents, the Old People Group. It was great fun seeing the rivalry that developed. In round one, General Knowledge questions, both teams did well with the Old People edging out the Youngins. The second round, the picture round was my favorite as we got "Wubbulous" identifying Dr. Suess characters. Yertle the Turtle and Marvin K .Mooney stumped both groups but they easily guessed Horton, The Grinch, Cindy Lou Who and the Cat in the Hat. In round 3 Octopus' Garment, the Old People went double or nothing and jumped to a big lead. Our guess who round stumped both teams for a while, with the youngins picking up 4 points to none by the Old People. This tightened the gap until the Old People went double or nothing in our Find the Connection round, jumping to a large lead. The scores stayed much the same through round 6 matching museums to their cities. The 7th round was very exciting as the Youngins went double or nothing, naming the 8 Ivy League Universities and the two egg laying mammals correctly. Unfortunately for them the Old People got a lot of the questions right as well and managed to hang on to a win by a small margin. Definitely an exciting night all around!
