About Old San Luis Barbecue Company

After moving to SLO in 2001 to attend Cal Poly, I fell in love with the traditional BBQ of the Central Coast. Desiring an inexpensive quick-service restaurant with authentic recipes developed over generations by SLO native families, I decided to open a "hole-in-the-wall" restaurant to produce this tasty fare.

Today Old San Luis BBQ Company is the local spot to enjoy the best BBQ on the Central Coast! Come order at our walk-up window, with outdoor seating on a nice day and indoor dining as well. Old San Luis BBQ Company specializes in authentic Santa Maria style cuisine and many of our family recipes date back nearly a century. All our meat is grilled over a red oak BBQ and our Tri-Tip is hand-trimmed, Angus Beef. We use locally farmed, organic vegetables and freshly made local artisan sausages. In addition to Tri-Tip, Chicken, or Linguica sandwiches, we also have salads, delicious side dishes, and family-style meals.

Come experience our authentic, affordable, and Delicious Santa Maria style BBQ!

It was a lot more chill than last week, 4 teams so it was mellow, they had fun but the energy was different, it seems like each week fluctuates with a lot of people than only a few teams. The questions were a big hit this time also, the picture round was a lot do fun for them, I think as more people consistently go it will become more fun and become more eventful, it was a nice time for sure for myself and the teams and old SLO bbq are always so awesome to work with

This was a much more big and lively trivia. We started with 9 teams but went down to 6 in the middle of the game. Groups were more excited and loud and had a lot of fun. I think it's starting to catch on at this location. For the drinking round I did rock paper scissors and it was a lot of fun, I had everyone count down and we had a sudden death tournament, overall it was very fun, it's great I work at mindbody as Every week more mindbody people keep coming

The teams were a lot smaller than last week so the vibe was different, it wasn't as loud or rowdy as last. Teams were a bit more shy to be outgoing but they still enjoyed their time. I made I mistake where I forgot to say a questions and it confused the round but I repeated the round and apologized and no one was upset or angry and it didn't ruin the flow of the game. All in all it was great and I was able to bring a lot of people from work
