QUIZ RECAP

Hello Everybody!

As a brand new baby quizmaster, I really enjoyed tonight's trivia and teams. 

Tequila Mockingbirds held the 1st place title throughout the majority of the night and came through at the top at the end. 

Free Smoke not only helped give great tips to me on how Rebecca usually does things, they smoked the last half of the night and came in 2nd tying with Go Blue.

We had half the teams succuessfully utilize double or nothing throughout the night.

All in all, for my first night on the job at Pineapple Hill, I have to give a huge thanks to all of the teams for welcoming me as I gather my quiz legs. Y'all did great and I'm excited to see what the coming weeks bring. Good luck! 

QUIZ RECAP

Today was a bittersweet day for me, as it was my final day hosting at Pineapple Hill. Don’t worry, I’ll still be quizmastering, just not at this venue. 

Gazpacho was the only team to double successfully. Tequila Mockingbirds, Kids Table, and We Try all doubled unsuccessfully. 

In Round 2, Tequila Mockingbirds redeemed themselves with a double and Oxymorons doubled, putting them in first. 

Go Blue!, Free Smoke both doubled in Round 3. 

In Round 4, Kid’s Table got the Who Am I on 10 points!  

They kept their streak going with a successful double down in Round 5, propelling them into being tied for first place with Free Smoke. No one else successfully doubled. 

In Round 6, Oxymorons, X-Blades, Tequila Mockingbirds, Three Cool Boys, Tegridy Farms, Go Blue!, Gazpacho, and Free Smoke all doubled. 

In the final Round, Free Smoke stayed in the lead with Go Blue! Right behind them. Gazpacho took third. 

I want to thank all my awesome regular teams for playing with me for the past few years here at Pineapple Hill. I’ll miss you all but you’ll see me around - just competing against you!

QUIZ RECAP

In the first round, Free Smoke, Tequila Mockingbirds, the Oxymorons, Three Cool Boys and Bermuda Pineapple. 

Free Smoke, Itty Bitty Litty Committee, Tequila Mockingbirds, Three Cool Boys and Bermuda Pineapple all doubled Round 2. 

In Round 3, Free Smoke, There’s Always Next Week, the Oxymorons, Itty Bitty Litty Committee, Bermuda Pineapple, Tequila Mockingbirds, and Three Cool Boys all doubled. At this point there was a 4 way tie for first between Bermuda Pineapple, Tequila Mockingbirds, Free Smoke and Three Cool Boys. 

Round 4 changed things up a bit, leaving Free Smoke and Tequila Mockingbirds vying for the lead, followed closely by Bermuda Pineapple and Three Cool Boys. 

For the drinking round, I had people showcase their hidden talents. Tequila Mockingbirds did the alphabet backwards, Bermuda Pineapple names the 50 states in alphabetical order. Itty Bitty Litty Committee said the alphabet forwards while sounding like he was in the witness protection program. There’s Always Next Week had a teammember balk like a chicken and sound like a baby doll, while Three Cool Boys did magic. A teammember of We Try was double jointed and the Oxymorons drew a caricature of me. (See last pic). But the winner was Free Smoke, who chugged a full pint of beer in 3 seconds! 

Round 5 saw doubles by the Oxymorons, Tequila Mockingbirds, Itty Bitty Litty Committee, Free Smoke and There’s Always Next Week. Free Smoke and Tequila stayed tied for first place. 

Tequila Mockingbirds and Three Cool Boys doubled Round 6, propelling Tequila Mockingbirds into the lead. Free Smoke was still high up in 2nd place and Three Cool Boys finished the round in 3rd. 

In Round 7, Free Smoke, Oxymorons, We Try and Bermuda Pineapple doubled. Free Smoke ended up tied with Tequila Mockingbirds. 

But after an exhilarating tie breaker question, Tequila Mockingbirds came in first, followed by Free Smoke and then the Oxymorons.
