QUIZ RECAP

The Pit of January didn't stop the crowd tonight.  We started slow.  So slow that at 6:55 it was looking like a 1 team game, but in the next five minutes 6 more teams poured through the door, the joint filled up and we had the busiest night I've seen in the Red Tandem Brewery since I've started hosting King Trivia here!

It was a good match, but a rogue not-so-regular team Cousins With Benefits dominated the game with a double or nothing out of the gates.  It was close, but they maintained first place in every round.  Stiff competition for two of our teams that regularly dominate.

QUIZ RECAP

It was a cutthroat game at the Red Tandem Brewery in Oxnard tonight!

The Daper Regs hit an opening home run with a double or nothing to jump out in front with an 8 point lead.  The very next round Palomas slammed back with a double or nothing of their own to edge ahead of the Regs by 1 point.  The third round saw the Daper Regs edge ahead by 3 points, but in the Guess Who round Palomas got it on the FIRST CLUE to jump ahead of the Daper Regs who got it on the 3rd clue.  From there Palomas only widened the gap to keep the lead the rest of the night finishing with a whopping 67 points.

Special shout out to Tropic of Answers, who kept a noble pace and finished in 3rd in the wake of a brutal rivalry between the Regs and Palomas.   Tune in next week for what will surely be another nail biter at the Red Tandem Brewery in Oxnard.  Come visit me, and take on the reighning champions, Palomas!

QUIZ RECAP

A nail-biting dead heat at the Red Tandem Brewery in Oxnard tonight.  Las Palomas and No Show House of Pain formerly the Daper Regs were locked in a dead heat for 3 out of 7 rounds!  No Show House of Pain ended up breaking the tie on the tiebreaker round to claim their rightful place as the champions of the evening.

I promised the bartender that I would not pee my pants from excitement.  I remained true to my word.
