QUIZ RECAP

King Trivia at Schilling Cider House was packed tonight. The cider was flowing thanks to awesome Jessica and the trivia challenges kept everyone on their toes.

Eleven teams vied for the $50 first place prize. "Double or Nothing" made one team's dream come true. The QM did not pass out from the excitement so no one called 9-1-1. Everyone was in a fine state of mind -- if only you could have been there.

Three teams took a gamble in Round 4 and took an early guess: Snow White. Sadly for them, Snow White licked no faces during World War 1 (or any other time during WWI, probably).

In the end, My Long Lost Appendix eased into first place followed a mere two points later by Cider on 2 Coasters. By taking Double or Nothing in Round 1, My Long Lost Appendix won the game. Not to rub it in, but we would have needed a tie breaker had Cider on 2 Coasters also used the Double or Nothing in Round 1. They had a perfect score.

The QM gives you all a shout out for being such an amazing group of players tonight. Hope to see you all again real soon.

QUIZ RECAP

Seattle may have just been named Most Gloomy City and the weather outside was supporting the name -- but it was anything but gloomy this evening as four official teams and several shy spectators tested their wits with an evening of outstanding trivia. Cider was flowing freely as Jessica demonstrated her prowess with the spigots.

Rock Me, Dr. Zaius zoomed into first place by doubling or nothing in Round Two. Thankswinning also had a perfect language round (Welsh? Polish?) but were kept down to ten points since they did not go double or nothing. Rock Me decided to show round two was no accident by successfully doubling again in Round Three.

Rock Me kept a solid lead for the rest of the game while Thankswinning and My Long Lost Appendix battled for second. In the end, it was Thankswinning who took home the second place winnings.

Everyone had a great time and got over the pain of not figuring out the French connection. See you next week!

QUIZ RECAP

The cider and the laughs were plentiful at Schilling Cider House on Monday night. All the teams knew their money and identified Ulysses S. Grant as the fellow on the $50, but just one group knew its Constitutional Amendments. First place was a hot contest until My Long Lost Appendage went Double or Nothing and matched all the dystopias to their books perfectly. Pretty Smart Duo (which included a former Jeopardy! champion) came in second, despite missing one when they also went Double or Nothing on dystopian books. Let's do it again next Monday!
