It was an exciting finish with a come back like no other come back this QM has seen -- whether mastering or playing. This QM is old and has played lots of trivia, so that is saying something.

Team Mamba Mentality 4Ever showed respect to Kobe by competing their way to first place -- but only after zeroing out in Round 1 because they doubled or nothing'd.

And nothing'd.

(Their late arriving team member swears he would have known the answer was "Batman" and not "Superman").

That's right. They went from dead last after Round 1 to first place at the finish of Round 7 -- but there's more. To win the entire game, they had to win a tie breaker against perennial winner Team Touched by an Uncle. Mamba Mentality 4Ever practically guessed the exact answer of viewers who watched the original airing of Breaking Baz's finale (missed it by just .3 million!) to seize the victory.

Our canine pals tonight were on their best behavior despite a woeful lack of dog-related questions.

All the teams had a blast and if you show up next week at Schilling, you can have a blast too!

QUIZ RECAP

A packed house here at Schilling on this MLK Jr. evening. Some regulars, some new. I met some individuals who were visiting from out of town and here for the long weekend. Well they came to the right place for good cider and trivia fun.

In the middle table was a large party celebrating a birthday. They formed a big team for trivia - Team Emily. Of course, we got everyone to sing to her at the end.

Every team was off to a great start in Round 1. Navarro Cheer took the lead with a successful double or nothing, in addition to a registered team name (+2 points)! For the Guess Who Round 4, every team guessed the famous person correctly...with a few teams doing so at the 10 point clue and most others at the 8 point clue. And She's Calling a Cab doubled in the big Round 5, taking the lead. In the last Round 7, the one with the Mean Girls list, three teams doubled down, resulting in a very close finish.

Tied for 3rd place was Menace to Sobriety and Navarro Cheer. In 2nd was And She's Calling a Cab, with one point ahead of 3rd place. The winner of the night, by 2 points, was Jigglypuff Puff Pass. What a close game.

Another fun-filled evening with King Trivia at Schilling Cider House, with great opportunities to say hello to those I've met last week and to meet new friends.

QUIZ RECAP

'Twas the first day of snow here in Seattle. Who would brave the cold and show up for some trivia this evening? Apparently, these 8 teams! They quickly trickled into Schilling Cider House and got situated for a night of trivia. Most were teams of 2, with a couple teams of 3. I also brought my wife to assist me while enjoying some cider and good times.

It was a friendly fun competition until the end. My Long-lost Appendix successfully doubled down in the last round and came in at 3rd place, with Menace to Sobriety only one point shy of tying for 3rd. Shartnado 3, Cidersonics, and Snowmageddon were very close in points to each other throughout the night. Bunk D had to leave in the middle. And She's Calling a Cab doubled down for the Picture Round, eventually earning them 2nd place in the end! And Post it Note Breakup had been waiting for this day to come - the day they win 1st place. With some successful doubling down and many correct answers, this was the day they got 1st place!

It was an enjoyable Monday evening together with King Trivia at Schilling Cider House. Thank you to Jessica for serving as our one bar staff all night. And thanks everyone for playing!
