QUIZ RECAP

Last night's King Trivia game at Shadow Grove Brewing proved once again that this event is the place to be in the San Fernando Valley every Thursday night! Thirteen teams competed for glory (in the form of beer coupons distributed to our top three teams) and bragging rights as they flexed their knowledge of trading card games, billionaires, and time travel. While leaders appeared to have emerged early in the game, a few late-game surprises shook up our scoreboard when several teams successfully risked their points in the final rounds by checking our famous Double or Nothing box. Comfortable leads shrunk in a nail-biting finish resulting in Vaughn St. Blues landing third place with 50 points, nabbing two coupons each worth $5 off one beer. Inching ahead of them was team Beanz 🫘, cinching second place with 52 points and scoring three beer coupons. Finally, returning champions Burger Of The Day fended off the competition for the top spot, scoring 58 points and five beer coupons: one for each player!

At the risk of sounding sappy and cliché, the real winners were everyone that came out tonight! And you could be a winner, too, if you join us next Thursday at 7:30PM at Shadow Grove Brewing! If you know your Jacks (and Jackies), are familiar with fictional TV workplaces, and have memorized unique facts about cats, King Trivia at Shadow Grove Brewing was the place to be this past Thursday to exercise your knowledge on all that and more! The one-woman team Scorpio Rising proved the power of trusting yourself with a stunning third place victory, scoring two coupons worth $5 off any beer at Shadow Grove for her impressive smarts. Newcomers Duger Of The Beer consistently fended off the competition throughout the night for a second place win, nabbing one coupon each for the team. Our trivia regulars Burger Of The Day reclaimed their place on the throne this week, successfully scoring 42 points, the first place victory, and five beer coupons for their combined efforts. Congrats to all of our teams--and a HUGE thanks to everyone for bringing their A-game and their camaraderie over a friendly and fun competition! Looking for a fun evening to ring in the weekend early? Check out King Trivia at Shadow Grove Brewing every Thursday night at 7:30PM! We provided questions ranging from British royal houses, wartime movies, 30-year-old celebrities, and more while ten teams provided fierce yet friendly competition! Teams stayed within a one-point difference of each other throughout most of the night, culminating in a nail-biting tie breaker to determine the third place winner. Notzero and Decent at Best went head-to-head to guess how many Olivias were born in 2023 in the US, and with a guess of 6,000, Notzero came closest to the 15,270 Olivias born last year! Their third place victory netted two coupons worth $5 off one beer each, while regulars Burger Of The Day held onto the leaderboard at second place (winning three coupons) and the Cosmic Gumbo trio taking home the top prize of five coupons and first place with a commanding lead. Congrats to all our winners--but the real winners are everyone who came out for King Trivia! We'll be back again next Thursday at 7:30PM for more, so we hope to see you there!
