Me and my big mouth!
I love college football. I went to a major University in the south where I developed this love of college football. It's more of a disease. I live and die every season with each and every game played. I'm the guy who believes that what I am wearing, or who enters the room, will have a direct impact on the outcome of a game 3000 miles away! I check to make sure I am not wearing any of the opposing schools colors. One thing I can't stand, are the loud mouthed sports announcers who will announce the perfection of a field goal kicker for the season...right before he proceeds to miss his first one!!! So, having said that, I am ashamed to say that I became that guy last night!
DaNile was having an awesome night as they prepared themselves for the upcoming Tournament Of Champions. Correctly doubling rounds 1 & 2, no double... but all correct on round 3, getting the Who Am I round on the first clue, and even winning the name that TV show free drinks round, they were perfect going into the 5th round! Yup, I did it. I opened my big mouth and announced their perfection to the entire crowd, causing them doubt as they crossed out the correct answer of skate board for darts, giving them an imperfect 9 for the 5th round! Yes, they went on to get every question right for the remainder of the quiz! Their note to me of "Damn you Sir" was well deserved and well taken!
Puzzles and The Kids R. Kelly Peed On ended up in a tie for second place, with We Suck At Trivia missing out by one point! The Kids R. Kelly Peed On won the tie breaker.

What's the best cure for New Years hangover??? Trivia at Dude's! 15 teams came out to play, with three of those teams being entered in the Tournament Of Champions which takes place Feb. 9th for $10,000!
DaNile Took an early lead by doubling the first round! They had a 9 point lead going into the 5th round, when disaster struck! An incorrect double opened the door for Our Combined IQ Is..., as they got 8 points and were now in 2nd place by 1 point! Great Minds Drink Alike were right behind them in 3rd place. We Suck At Trivia was going for a 3-peat, but found themselves in 4th place after 5 rounds. In round 6, Penus De Milo came out of nowhere with a double, putting them in first place by 2 points! In the final round Penus De Milo got 7 point, while DaNile got 10 to secure the win by 1 point!
TriviAmigos knew the songs from a decade ago to win the free pints round, and Our Combined IQ Is... went home with a 4-pack of beer for placing 3rd!
One of the best parts of hosting trivia, is getting to know some really cool people! Sadly, sometimes those people make changes in their lives and move on. Aris is one of those guys. (pix 4-6) I will miss you bud. I wish you nothing but success in all you do in Texas!
