I love this game. I love my venues. I love my teams. After taking a week off to celebrate Thanksgiving with my family, it felt great to get back to my "Trivia Family"! As a trivia host, (like a parent)I probably shouldn't say this, but I have my favorite teams. Not one favorite team, but multiple. Some of these favorite teams play against each other, and it gets my heart racing to see how it plays out! It amazes me the things they know...and even more so the things they don't! Sorry for rambling, but I just love this game!
Had a blast tonight at Dudes! Great beer, great teams, good tunes and lot's of laughs. Great Minds Drink Alike, We Suck At Trivia, Jesus Is Cumming, Grab A Towel, DaNile, and Quizzards all were in serious contention until round six, when Great Minds Drink Alike and DaNile got all the answers correct! One team doubled, one team did not! Great Minds Drink Alike surged from 5th place into a tie for 1st with DaNile. In the final round, DaNile felt they needed to double this time...unfortunately, they missed one mountain range, opening the door for Quizzards to take second place! We Suck At Trivia came up one point short, to take 4th place, while Great Minds Drink Alike took home the trophy!

Thursday night trivia at The Dude's took a Thanksgiving break, but came back on Friday night. Several fine teams demonstrated their knowledge of prefix titles, Nostradamus, and international soup, but were outmatched in the early rounds by team DaNile. With 4 successful double downs in the first 5 rounds, DaNile was unstoppable, proving that DaNile is more than just a river in Egypt. DaNile cooled off toward the end, but We Suck at Trivia, and the Blonde Bombshells were not able to catch them. Both teams were just a few answers short of being able to attempt to double down in the early rounds. Coming in 4th place was team Tennessee Sux. Their point total didn't reflect their true skill, but it did reflect their willingness to put it all on the line with 3 unsuccessful double downs were they missed just one answer. Most teams have one guy who wants to double down every round. Tennessee Sux must only be those guys.
