QUIZ RECAP

Greetings and Salutations, King Trivia players. It was a wild and amazing evening for our players at The End, in our final game before Christmas.

Our first round, the holiday-themed General Knowledge, would be a major success for every team, although there would not be one team that dominated right out of the gate.

The second round, our Picture Round, made all the players laugh. Another round that kept things close, with only a handful of points separating first from last. It was still anyone's game at this point. 

But two teams would make their move on round three, about brothers and sisters who aren't actually related, successfully doubling their points.

The fourth round, Guess Who, would turn out to be more challenging for teams than this quizmaster expected. But once they they it, they knew it. And there would be much rejoicing.

Round Five, Find the Connection, is regularly the players' favorite, and today's holiday themed questions would be no exception. Even a couple teams that got two of the questions wrong were at least on the right track enough to get the final answer right. Two of the teams would successfully double this round as well, which is exactly the right time to do so. A successful double of a ten point round can help a team move ahead or regain ground, as needed, and each would be the case for one of those two teams.

But it would be second consecutive successful double on Round Six that would seemingly seal the deal for Calmer Than You Are. But there would still be some wiggle room for two others teams to come from behind, if they could successfully double the final round, while the leaders missed a double. But that would not be the case. Calmer would play it safe at the end, as would most every other team, and they would take the final crown.

I guess word got out that this is the BEST trivia night in California. We had a record-breaking FOURTEEN teams tonight, and the competition was fierce. Kudos to everyone who came out!!
