About The Famous Bar

The Famous craft cocktail lounge is located in Glendale's historic Huntley-Evans building, directly across the street from the Americana at Brand. It follows an eclectic and rich pedigree of establishments that have called this building home in the last century, most notably the early Glendale landmark, The Famous Department Store. The Famous, true to its heritage, embraces the classic art of fine craft cocktail creation, invented in the United States in 1856, using bitters, juices, syrups, and infusions, prepared in-house using fresh ingredients from local markets and growers. Cocktails served at The Famous are identical to those served nearly 100 years ago when the building was constructed.

That's true for most everyone, except the big-brained smart guys of Because Jeopardy Won't Let Us Drink, who demonstrated their formidable trivia skills once again last night.

The Griffind-Whores and Yer a Quizard Harry did their level best to topple the frequent first-place finishers, and were rewarded for their efforts with gift cards from the bar.

Come on out next week and try your luck against out top teams. Even if you don't win, you'll spend the evening among the smartest, best-looking people in town.

Except for the quizmaster. He's a dork!

Because Jeopardy Won't Let Us Drink continued their winning way this week, despite an unsuccessful "double" attempt and a missed opportunity to double in the 6th round.

Our other top two finishers - Sister Wives and Sam & The Gang - both doubled successfully in the 6th, with the Sisters doubling in the 7th to take 2nd place! Well done, Sisters. You too, Sam!

Our favorite team name of the night has to go to Boots, Boobs & Booze, which mentions one of my favorite things. Well two, really, since they come in pairs! That's right! I'm tawkin' BOOTS!

It was an exciting finish when Chicken in the Middle came up just one point shy of the winner's circle this week and blah, blah, blah you guys don't need me to tell you what happened anyway and besides...
