QUIZ RECAP

Eleven (11!) Teams stampeded to trivia tonight for a mid-October harvest festival of quiz questions. It was a tight game with several early lead flip-flops, but the exceptionally well-educated team of the Drs Are In took home the hardware tonight, followed by Automating America! and Ladies & the Tramps. New teams registering up, and pledging to return for trivia vengeance. I'll have to bring more handouts!

Old teams and new teams clashed in this brisk autumn trivia, as the threat of losing power loomed above San Jose due to fire risks, we plodded forth onto the trivia battlefield to engage in mortal combat. Automating America, freshly rejuvenated from a trip to Romania, returned in top form and crushed the competition, despite a challenge from Ask My Balls. New team Poke Prawn played steady trivia when other teams were going for the fences with back-to-back-to-back doubles, and took third for their prudent play. It's all about strategy!

A five headed trivia monster reared it's head in San Jose on Tuesday night, and it was not to be denied its glory! Five teams entered, but only one could reign supreme, and Ask My Balls, in a nail-biter, knew a weeeee bit more about geometry than their counterparts, taking first by a single point.

On a sad note, one of the Tramps from the Ladies & the Tramps has finally got sick of me so he concocted a story about moving to Palm Springs, but his team vowed to soldier on in his absence. A fitting bronze for a great player on a great team!
