QUIZ RECAP

Three teams showed up to say goodbye to Monday night trivia at the Oaks Tavern, and it was a game fit for a finale. The majority of the night saw Hot For Teacher and home team Awesome Sauced fighting for first though, The Four Lokos did not stay far behind.

Hot For Teacher saw their chances for first skyrocket when Awesome Sauced guessed wrong during round five, which they doubled down on. This gave Hot For Teacher a 13 point lead. However, the next round saw Awesome Sauced redeem themselves with a perfect round and Hot For Teacher with seven correct answers. This gave both teams 60 points heading into the final round. All three teams handed their pens in at the end which meant that by one single point, Awesome Sauced ended Monday night trivia with a win.

The drinking round had teams build a house of cards as high as possible in an allowed amount of time. The Four Lokos played their cards right, or more accurately, stacked them right. With the tallest tower, they earned themselves some free drinks!

It was a great final night of Monday night trivia and I want to thank all the teams who played during my time there! You'll see me back covering for the Sunday/Wednesday quizmaster in October!

Most people had off work but that didn't stop them from showing up to King Trivia for labor day.

GTL went perfect in round one but didn't double down. Nevertheless, they started the game in the lead.

Teams stayed within two points of each other all the way until round 4 where Awesome Sauced guessed wrong and found themselves falling behind.

The basketball-themed round five saw Awesome Sauced pull a "Washington Generals that one time they beat the Globetrotters" and pull off the unexpected with a perfect round, launching them to second place.

The drinking round was a quick game of Higher or Lower with One Man Wrecking Crew taking the free drinks.

Night's end saw One Man Wrecking Crew take first prize, which means even more free alcohol in their future.

QUIZ RECAP

Three big teams came to play and to celebrate the birthday of Big Mood's Jeanie!

For the first three rounds, teams played it safe and all stayed within two points of each other.

Teams were fooled by the Freddie Mercury based Guess Who round, guessing members of Led Zepplin instead, but Points Per Capita broke free and got the correct answer on the 6 point clue!

We didn't see a single double or nothing until round five when Big Mood took a big step towards taking the lead.

The drinking round was the classic paper airplane contest. Points Per Capita flew to victory and free drinks with a well-made plane!

At the night's end, Jeanie's birthday wish came true with a victory for their team, and by only one point!
