Even though it was so close to Christmas, we still were able to rally some teams! Thanks to everyone who trekked out on this Christmas Eve Eve to play!

While so many were tuned into Football, most of the occupants of The Oaks were playing the most dangerous game...Trivia! The 6 teams faced rounds of muffins, Simpsons, onomatopoeias, and other challenges. While drinking some swanky beer and curated cocktails and feasting on popcorn, Jazz Hands Over Jazz Fist had a well warned victory with Awesome Saused and Happy Birthday AJ claiming second and third.

Though our hometown Rams may have lost last night, the real excitement was within The Oaks Trivia Dome.

We saw an unprecedented amount of double downs -- EIGHT -- more than this Quizmaster has ever seen. And while most of these double downs were unsuccessful (albeit by a one question margin on each) veteran team Jazz Hands Foot and Mouth Disease had better luck. They played a whopping THREE double downs all of which were successful and helped to earn them a final 76 points.

But Jazz Hands weren't the only team that had a shining moment; The Big Fact Hunt not only doubled down successfully on round three, but they handed in their round 4 answer lightning fast. All the clues for the 10pt question weren't even said before they jumped up and successfully submitted their answer of Idina Menzel.

GTL found themselves tied for fourth place until a HUGE round 6 where (aside from Jazz Hands) every team scored 0. By scoring 8 points GTL secured their third place spot.

And while Awesome Sauced ended in fourth place, they started the game guns blazing by scoring 12 points in round one.

All in all another fantastic night of questions and answers on Sunday night! Here's to next week!
