About The Pizza Press - Buena Park

The Pizza Press is elevating the ‘build your own pizza’ concept by creating an immersive environment filled with ambiance, service, and, of course, pizza. Our theme, inspired by 1920s Americana newspaper, harkens back to the industrialized era when newspapers were the foundation of the local community. We encourage you to craft your story by “publishing” a pizza or choosing one of our signature pizzas named after major American newspapers such as “The Times”, “The Tribune”, and “The Chronicle”, to name a few.

Founded in 2012 and based in Anaheim, California, The Pizza Press is a rapidly growing brand with over 30 locations nationwide.

A slow night at Pizza Press due to the rain turned into a fun night for our only couple who decided to play! After several teams backed out before we began, we had one team that decided to compete against each other to keep our trivia night going!

Our gentleman, Fame(e), had to play catch up for most of the game, since despite answering more questions correctly Ariana the Great played a brilliant Double or Nothing after figuring out all of the amazing things that Barbie can do.

After learning a lot about Billy Joel together and putting the names back in movies, we arrived at the final round separated by only one point. But Fame(e) was able to pull off a victory in the end by naming two more Super Smash Bros. characters than his girlfriend! And no, Ariana, Toad has not been a playable character...yet...

Thanks, all! See you next week!

Game Rank Team # Team Name Score Teams Beaten Team Beat Average
1 Fame(e) 27 1 1.000
2 Ariana the Great 26 0 0.000

Apologies in advance for the lack of pictures, but the game was 2 Fast 2 Furious (plus, I forgot...bad Quizmaster!). After the promise of free Pizza Press gift cards by simply playing, two teams were in and the questions began flying!

It may have been a low-scoring game, but the five of us had a blast learning some new things that we never would've considered. Pro tip: way to remember the Amendment that repealed Prohibition...it's the same as the drinking age! Also, Clark Kent was easier to identify than either team initially realized...but hey, the citizens of Metropolis have been having that issue for years.

The game was literally neck and neck for most of the rounds, with each team jockeying for first place or remaining tied. As such issues always must be resolved, I turned to the Pope but only one team was able to recall a grand total of two actual papal names, making The Legits our legit winners of the evening!

But both they and #1 Team had a great time and were cheering each other on as the game progressed. Enjoy those free pizzas, ya'll! And hopefully I'll see you next week!

Game Rank Team # Team Name Score Teams Beaten Team Beat Average
1 The Legits 26 1 1.000
2 #1 Team 25 0 0.000

'Twas a quiet night at the Pizza Press that just opened up at The Source in Buena Park. But that didn't stop us from having a good game of trivia with the people who were there! Good news is with only three teams, all three would end up with a prize!

We made our way through the theremins and Australian paraphernalia, discovering Ms. Hermione Granger all in the same round, before arriving at the pivotal Round 5 which catapulted Pack of Idiots into first place with a Double or Nothing on those NBA MVPs! My heart started beating pretty fast while scoring their sheet, but it ended up being a risk worth taking.

David Fincher stumped essentially everybody, with only Starting a Trend correctly identifying The Social Network as his. Shout out to We Bare Bears, though, for throwing out some great guesses in Inception (which was very Fight Club-esque) and Guardians of the Galaxy (...Alien 3-ish?).

After rattling off Fincher's IMDB list, the standings were solidified, putting Pack of Idiots in first with Starting a Trend and We Bare Bears bringing up second and third, respectively. They all got Pizza Press gift cards, which they'll hopefully use next week to play trivia again! Nothing wrong with an endless cycle of pizza won through trivia, right?

See you next week!

Game Rank Team # Team Name Score Teams Beaten Team Beat Average
1 15500 Pack of Idiots 46 2 1.000
2 10073 Starting a Trend 36 1 0.500
3 We Bare Bears 22 0 0.000
