QUIZ RECAP

Seattle brought the heat, but the KingTrivia teams raised the temperature at West Wall with a steep competition. 7 teams brawling it out for 2 hours in a gym? Thank god I wore black.

The pantry was poppin with the BanAnas and Potatoes neck in neck. And trying the misnomer strategy, the teams Balless (ball-less, as in, all game but no balls [pictured]) and Anticompetitive sat securely in the top 3 the whole game.

By Round 6 the teams changed the whole chemistry of the challenge with their knowledge of the periodic table. 6 of the 7 teams successfully played their Double or Nothing, giving everyone a temporary run for their money, but ultimately keeping the status quo. Zombie Ducks without Reason came back with a vengeance, clinching the first place win.

Tonight, West Wall was witness to an evenly matched competition. 3 of our teams, JAIL, Junior Varsity AAPI, and Zombie Ducks Without Reason were all vying for first place, but a well timed Double or Nothing play set JV AAPI well ahead of the game during the last three rounds. Their win seemed certain until the final round. In a major upset, Zombie Ducks without Reason tied the JV AAPI for first with the highest score of round 7. The room was buzzin' as we entered the tie breaker.  And once again, even the teams' answers were neck in neck. But in the end, the JV AAPI won first place. Their Varsity team from last week (of AAPI Month) would be so proud. Until they hear they've been demoted of course, since JV has officially declared themselves Varsity. We'll see how their teams get sorted next week. 

QUIZ RECAP

After scaling the walls at the Seattle Bouldering Project, teams filed into West Wall Cafe and Bar to scale the King Trivia Scoareboard. 
through chalk, sweat, and tears, they clawed their way to the top, all racing for that coveted King of the Mountain title. Teams were neck in neck for the top 3 places nearly the entire climb. A couple teams had to drop, giving the others the lead of a final few rounds up that hill. In the end though, it wasn't about how fast they got there (2 hours), or about what was waiting on the other side (gift cards to split). It was about the climb (and all the fun times had with friends).
