We had 13 teams, 44 players, and 3 handsome pups stick around after a thrilling Basketball Playoff game with our local bball heros (Go Dubs!) for this epic 420 night of trivia. I shared some special news, we played some pinball, talked (more) hoops, and gave away all the biggest spoilers!! 5 teams found the connection, and the rest would have gotten away with it, if it weren’t for those meddling kids! Only 1 team was able to correctly name our mystery person at the 10 point level: SmexyGeraltofRivia. After not even being there the first two rounds, that 10-pointer shot them up onto the podium and they ended up stealing 1st place from the two teams that had been battling at the top the rest of the night! Mary Wanna Win took 2nd place, and with the only 420-related team name, they also took home Best Team Name, but passed the pint glass & gift certificates to the 4th place team C&T. Super Weenie Hut Jr took home 3rd place. All of our teams still present at the end of the night received at least one entry into the drawing for 2 Cali Roots Music Festival tickets (and each team 9th place and above received progressively more entries), and the tickets went to an ecstatic team Rico! Congratulations you two, and thanks to everyone who stayed and played. We’ll see you all next week!

We had a hopping night with 35 teams and 146 players, plus Pippin the Pup! We talked California rockbands, played some Super Mario, and had a cross-country sandwich adventure. It was a gas! Shout out to the two teams that figured out our mystery person at the 10 point level: Los Gatos and Flying Dutchman. Half our teams found the connection tonight - too many to name, but you all done me proud. At the end of the night, teams took home some stellar prizes, thanks to our sponsor Sierra Nevada: Stickers, coozies, sunglasses, and shirts, along with Woodie bucks for another delicious meal!! 3rd place went to Your Mom, 2nd place to Eiffel Tower, and while we couldn’t find poor Ben a ladyfriend, at least he got 1st place on team My Friend Ben Really Needs a Girlfriend. Best Team Name went to Our Drinking Team Has a Trivia Problem. And all our Top 10 Teams plus our Best Name got additional drawing tickets for the grand prize of the night: two tickets to the Cali Roots Music Festival! Our lonely Ben and team won the tickets, so maybe he’ll meet someone there. We’re raffling off another pair next week, so grab your friends and join us on Thursday for your chance to win (and… who knows, maybe find love?)

We had an astonishing 35 teams and 179 players (plus a very cute pup!) join us for a wild night of trivia. We enjoyed some Carpool Karaoke, discussed some soup, and plaaaayed balllll. Shout out to The Spicy Meatballs for figuring out our mystery name at the 8 point level, the highest correct score that round. We had eight teams sort out the Round 5 connection. And we sung a very rowdy Happy Birthday to Ethan, who had not one but TWO teams named after him (and his… leg hair?) Our best Wrong Answer of the night came from Boogerbeans, who said the southernmost California mission was Mission Impossible. But our top three teams tonight won it big, with prizes from Firestone 805 including sun glasses, pint glasses, and stickers, plus Woodstocks gift certificates. Congratulations to our winners: 1st place - Octopus Lovers, 2nd place - Winchester Mystery Hoes, 3rd place - The Spicy Meatballs, and our Best Team Name - Homo Slugsuals. We also had a runner-up for Best Team Name, Complete Xanarchy, who got a Laffy Taffy and a set of stickers. It was a fantastic night! And don’t forget, the next two Thursdays, we will have a drawing for 2 tickets each night for the Cali Roots Music Festival, with all teams in attendance having a chance to win! See you then!!
