QUIZ RECAP
Another Thursday, another night of fun! We had a record-breaking 33 teams with 151 players!! Round 1, we all gagged at the idea of getting Chuck E Cheese delivered and looked gratefully at our delicious Woodstocks pizza. In Round 2, trivia teams found a way, as many teams showed off their dino knowledge while the rest showed off their humor, culminating in Team Shake n Bake naming an ankylosaurus simply "Greg" to much applause. Round 3 got a little Van-Wild when we realized just how many lil' rappers there are! In Round 4, we had *3* teams Guess Who correctly at the 10 point clue! Shout out to those teams: Mommy's Milkers, Tater Tots, and I Smell. In Rounds 5 & 6, we had a sugar overload as most teams found the cookie connection, and then we went a la mode with ice creams in Round 6. Some of us may need to do some extra ice cream research to learn the flavors we didn't know... Oh darn. 😉 Between Rounds 6 & 7, we had a raffle for Sharks tickets! 5 lucky players will be receiving a pair of tickets each... and quite a few offers for dates to go with them! On Round 7, some of us were shocked to discover that Montana has over a million people, while others learned the heart-breaking lesson that Dallas, Detroit, and Deez Nuts are not actually state capitals. In the end, Whale Riders took 3rd place with 55 points and *matching uniforms* (other teams need to step it up!), our 2nd place team Beer Chugglers came in at 58 points but generously donated their prizes to the 4th place team I Smell, who'd been just 1 point off the podium, and our 1st place team with 60 points, Tater Tots, lifted their prize mug like they'd just won the Stanley Cup. There were a lot of fantastic team names to choose from, including Newt Nerds (shown holding their pictures of newts and salamanders they'd seen earlier in the day), Mommy's Milkers, Help we're caught in the zipper (you'll never hear as many people gasp "Aaah!" as when you read that team name, even funnier because they sat near The Beans), What the Duck, Van Wilder's Trivial Year, To Go For Kevin, The Plot Twists, Lala Pooloozers, Foiled Again (they went a different route with the "Reynolds Rap" theme), and our Best Team Name Winners: All Hotdogs Go To Heaven.

QUIZ RECAP
We packed the house tonight with 28 teams and *141 players* - a new all-time high!! We took a stroll through the Big Apple and then moved on to Easy E, where most teams that went Double-or-Nothing got the points. Round 4 was a bit tough and some teams cleverly opted to skip it rather than lose a point, but shout out to team The Four MustyQueers for getting it correct at the 10 point level! Many of us 'caught' the Round 5 connection with our Spidey-webs, though not everyone knew about the gunslingers at the OK Corral, so we covered every frozen pizza brand on the market! In Round 6, we learned that most of us did not learn enough languages during lockdown - only one team dared Double-or-Nothing that round, with a swing and a miss. Round 7 was a fun stroll down memory lane with Pixar... and in some cases also Disney, DreamWorks, and more. It was a "Go for Broke" round with more than half the teams going Double-or-Nothing trying to climb Up to the top spot... and another 4 teams with 10 points kicking themselves a little for not going all in, and in most cases landing just off the podium because of it. It's the (Toy) Story of our lives. We had a couple team-name shout-outs that got a boisterous round of applause for "Happy Birthday Hannah" and "First Responders And Friends" as well as applause for our other all-first-responder team, Silber Surprise, which took 1st place with 86 points. 2nd and 3rd went tomsome familiar faces: 2nd place went to All Bricked Up on a Thursday with 73 points, and 3rd place went to Fully Torqued with 71 points. Meanwhile, after much Reflection and applause, our Best Team Name Winner is a definite Fighter: Quiztina Aguilera! An awesome night overall. As DJ Khaled would say, at Woodstocks Santa Cruz, We the Best!

QUIZ RECAP
Everyone was in the spirit of Trivia tonight! The candy cross-sections had us talking about what is and isn't a candy bar, and while teams knew most of these treats quite well, the trick turned out to be the heath bar, which looks a lot like a peppermint patty from that view. Guess we'll all have to eat more chocolate to prepare for next time! John C. Reilly managed to Wreck-It Ralph some scores, and the two teams that Holmes'ed him for more than 2 points both found themselves on top of the podium at the end of the night! Everyone had enough Clues to find the board game connection in round 5, despite some trickery from the Beatles album. In the end, it was John C. Reilly with a heath bar and the Revolver album in Wisconsin. One of our regular top scorers, Team Spoop Troop, was comedically over-confident with their Double-or-Nothing tonight, trying 4 times and missing on all of them, but all in good fun. Meanwhile team "We can't get anything right" in fact got a lot right, with 3 successful Double-or-Nothings, missing the podium by just 1 point. 3rd place went to trivia night regulars, Fully Torqued, with 74 points. 2nd place (and Most Enthusiasm) went to The Cool Ghouls with 78 points. And our 1st place team used Double-or-Nothing in every round it's offered with only one miss, ending up with 94 points - tying our all time high! - Team BongRipper420! We had some spooktacular team names this week, including The Cool Ghouls, Witch Don't Kill My Vibe, Ed Asner's Ghost, and our Best Team Name Winner: Spooks!... I Did It Again.
