QUIZ RECAP

The competition at Kilarney's last night was extreme. The lead hopped around like a department
store duck on a hot plate. (I know. They used to do that...) Age & Treachery fared best with
the top score in Round 2, then in Round 5 and finally shooting to victory with a Double-or-Nothing
in Round 7. The lead was also held by Tequila Mockingbird in Round 3, Wassamatta-U in Round 4 and
IFFY!/Blood, Bath & Beyond Alliance in Round 6. So, quite a horse race.

Welcome to newbies Mozart, who came in just as the symphony started, began their movement impetuoso,
gained points prestissimo and finally finished forte with a second place tie, losing out to the
IFFY!/BBB alliance!

Brenda O'Malley was in the kitchen washing dishes, waiting for her husband Shamus to come home,
when she heard a knock at the door. There was Shamus' friend, Tim Finnegan, with a long face.
Brenda intuited immediately that something had happened to Shamus. Fearful and sad, Tim told
Brenda that Shamus had died in a freak accident at the Guiness brewery. After the expected
histrionic grief and wailing, Brenda managed to ask how it happened. Tim told her Shamus had
fallen in a vat of Stout and drowned. Through tears, Brenda muttered, "Did... Did he at least
go quickly?" Tim shook his head solemnly and replied, "No. I'm afraid not. He got out three
times to pee..."
