QUIZ RECAP

Stormy weather cleared up just before trivia time at Kilarney's last night, enabling
seven seasoned teams and one newbie to go head-to-head in our usual Tuesday night
convocation. The newbie's, who styled themselves as I Don't Know, lived up to their
moniker and cut out after Round Four. When Quiz Master Lou asked "Where'd they go?",
the resounding crowd response was... You guessed it.

On slow nights, the wait staff at Kilarney's plays as the Bar Flies; And tonight, the
questions were definitely in their wheelhouse! With a Double-or-Nothing propelling them
into the lead in Round Two, they dominated the entire evening from start to finish. Of
course, they can't collect the prize, being employees of the establishment and all, but
that only makes it sweeter for the patrons, who get a cascade effect in awards. Second
place winner gets the first place prize and so on... How's that for trickle down economics?

Evening's Highlights:

"Too many" may have actually been the correct answer to the number of Mission: Impossible
films starring Tom Cruise.

The clay creature from Jewish folklore is not called a schmuck, but it may be one.

Any picture of a guy named Tom holding a guitar is Tommy TuTone. (Not!)

More teams got the Pokemon reference than QM Lou thought would in Round Five!

And with that, in the nature of a Public Service Announcement, QM Lou would like to leave
you with this serious thought... Every year, hundreds of children are shipped off to
mime school... Never to be heard from again.
