QUIZ RECAP

The crowd at Killarney's last night was a crowd... If you think that metaphor
was less than lacking in disparity, you should see the scores! Virtually all
teams were tied in round one without a single pack leader emerging until round
five! Strangeness. Want more strangeness? Both Quiz Master Lou and bartender
Rick did their backs that day and were walking around like hunchbacks. Likewise,
other patrons and acquaintances of same were complaining of muscle/nerve injuries
that seemed to come on like a wave. Weirdness.

Speaking of waves, the wave of questions that permeated our quiz were some really
tough burgers! But that kept the Double-or-Nothing's down to a minimum. The
most appeared on the Picture Round, and even that depended on knowing the names
of the duo from Supernatural. And who the heck watches You're the Worst, anyway?!?
And last, but not least, it's not hard to name ten Robert DeNiro films. It's
hard not to name the good ones when going for the highest grossing. (Damn you
to hell, Box Office Mojo!)

On the team front, Ship It!/Blood, Bath & Beyond alliance surprised all with a
successful DoN in round seven, leap frogging them into a first place win! The
old school, Wossamatta-U took second and Seal Team 3 covered the rear with third.
Newbie teams MDG Posse did the mosey out before game's end while the Bee Gees
disco'ed out on round six. (Although, QML had a fun time introducing them in
song - "More Than a Quiz Team"!
