QUIZ RECAP

A lot of things happened at Killarney's last night. Many of them were related
to King Trivia Pub Quiz. Since it was Tuesday, that's when we have the pub quiz
so it makes perfect sense, really. One of the things that happened was that
Quiz Master Lou mistook team Counter Culture for Irish Whiskeypedia. Taking
into consideration that Counter Culture was sitting at I.W.'s table, with about
the same number of people that usually sit there, it was an honest mistake. But
the thing that happened was, when I wrote their team number down, it was exactly
one number higher than I.W.'s! (21066/21067) I mean, whoa, right?

One of the other things that happened, happened during the Picture Round. No one
team correctly guessed that number seven was Jane Austen. However, seven out of
eight teams guessed it was Laura Ingalls Wilder! There were other things that
happened as well, though not as happening as the happening things I've mentioned.
For example, most of the teams guessed the Find-the-Connection round's common
denominator was Awards, but those who didn't thought it was dogs. Except for
the Poonswagglers, who thought it was about nipples for some reason. (They also
couldn't name Emmy Rossum, labelling her "the nipple chick" instead. But as
things that happened go, that one was less happening.

Wossa Matta-U started off in the lead, but lost it to Pickles on a Plate mid
game. Seal Team 3 special op'd a second place win while the deadly alliance
(I really think they ought to consider a new team registration) of Blood, Bath
& Beyond and Ship It! took third. A shout out to the Bar Floozies for taking
over for the Bar Flies and their good sportsmanship. Oh, and Tequila Mockingbird!
