QUIZ RECAP

A newbie team joined us named My Couch Pulls Out But I Don't. Nor did they
pull out (of the game) but stayed until the very end even though they finished
last. (Had they registered their team for that two point bonus they would have
tied for last place! A dubious deadlock, but one worth mentioning!)

The old school, Wossa Matta-U got one for the Gipper by seizing the day and the
lead in Round One and clinging to it tenaciously until well past the goal posts.
The return of the Dallas Boolers Club was well marked by a second place win while
Pickles on a Plate squeezed into third.

Some badly aimed Double-or-Nothing's punished Tequila Mockingbird and the Deadly
Alliance (of Blood, Bath & Beyond/Ship It!) pushing them to irrelevance (in score
keeping parlance, only!) And the evening's best, worst guesses were the desperate
attempts to fill in the tenth line on the Find-the-Connection Round's wrap-up
question. The challenge was to somehow find the motif of famous actresses that
garnered Oscar nominations. Evenly divided into thirds, some teams got close enough
to the answer to deserve it, some gave up entirely, leaving their guesses blank, but
a couple of teams offered these "going down with the ship" quips...
