QUIZ RECAP

When in the course of trivia events it becomes necessary for one pub to dissolve the
logical bands which have connected them with others and to assume among the questions
of the quiz writers, the separate and equal reasons to which the answers of Nature and
of Nature's G-d entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that
they should declare the insanity which impel them to the separation. (With apologies to
Mr. Jefferson...)

Killarney's, faux Irish though it may be, (and which may account for its madness) made
so bold as to go down in history that this quizmaster of King Trivia must diligently
report to his sovereign that the Round Six Handout challenge, "Match each U.S. president
with the state that joined the union during his presidency," was the most difficult
American history provocation yet encountered! The average number of correct answers
was two (with Wossa Matta U getting three right!). How revolting! And yet, the final
round's ultimatum of Name 10 of the 12 Greek Letters that end in "A" made an equally
impressive footprint in KT history by having every single team Double-or-Nothing and
succeed! Which of course raised all scores by twenty points but did not change the
rankings one iota! (See what I did there?)

Tequila Mockingbird soared into first place with 68 points while Deadly Alliance (aka
Blood, Bath & Beyond) shouldered them with a 68 point second position. Pickles on a
Plate slid into third with 57 points narrowing out Seal Team 3 with their 56! The
Poonswagglers finished last with an impressive 50 points!
