How well do you know actors-turned-singers, final girls in horror movies, and George Lopez? If the answer is "extremely well," you should have been at King Trivia at Shadow Grove Brewing last night, where nine teams faced off on their knowledge of all these topics (and more) over seven rounds of trivia! Shadow Grove is decked out for spooky season and the vibes were immaculate for some high-stakes trivia for a chance to win discount coupons for $5 a brew. Teams trailed one another by one or two points throughout the night, and it seemed almost inevitable that the game would head into a tiebreaker...but anything can happen in the final round, which was proven last night when LETITSNOW risked their comfortable first-place lead to Double or Nothing...only to get one answer wrong, toppling them off the leaderboard. At 38 points, DunKen took home third place and two beer coupons, while at 39 points, team Pumpkin Dwellers grabbed second place and a beer coupon for each member of their team! And while Cosmic Gumbo held steady in the middle of the pack all night, a successful Double Or Nothing in the final round sent them surging into first place at 48 points and the first place prize of five beer coupons!
