QUIZ RECAP

We had fun, fun, fun at Shakertin's last night!  The Nitty Knockers playing under the Ship It! banner came away the clear winner in a six team field with a whopping sixty points, carefully managing their Double-or-Nothing's to only successful attempts!  Pickles on a Plate won second and the Dog Whisperers took third.  One Left in the Chamber was narrowly squeezed out of the winner's circle by a mere point but had lots of fun anyway.  Deadly Alliance, normally a bastion of calm and logical playing, apparently got infected by gambling devils, recklessly failing on three consecutive DoN's!  Oh, the humanity!  

We had a General Knowledge question about Djokovic's fourth straight win at Wimbeldon, which led Quiz Master Lou to quip about Wimbeldon winner Angus Podgorney's lengthy victory (it took him 15 years) at same after defeating the interstellar Blancmanges from the planet Skyron in the galaxy of Andromeda!  But no one got my reference...  

Hats off to our quiz writers who stumped and stymied stylishly with a scalp scratching Find-the-Connection followed by an equally enticing Handout Round about the collapse of civilizations!  Way to go, Quiz Overlords!
