Opening night of Monday Night Football and we started by borrowing a power cord from one of the TVs. It was a strange night overall with teams jockeying back and forth for position, with "Princess Diane" successfully doubling in rounds 1 & 2, and "HLP" matching that 2nd round double, leaving HLP back 6 points after 2 rounds. Every round from 3-6, HLP whittled one point away from the lead and were within 2 points going into Round 7. Was this the week that HLP would not take first place?? YES! Princess Diane matched HLP's score in the final round to dethrone the champs Meanwhile, the other 5 teams were fighting for tht 3rd prize and beating each other up, gaining a little ground, then bombing a double-down. Round 4 crippled most teams and going into Round 7, place s 4-7 were separated by just 3 points. "Laurie Beers" and "Connie Lingus" (coming from WAY back) had strong round 7s, and Laurie Beers held on to take 3rd prize. "Chunky Monkey", "Cur-Pam" and "Not 2 Smart" fought for a prize, but fell short.
