QUIZ RECAP

It was another difficult one tonight with no doubles attempted in the 1st half. Our winners tonight all wisely chose their times to strike in the 2nd half as they all had at least one successful double.

One of those winners was Bruce Jennertalia who lost the battle for 2nd with Fear of Flying. The difference maker for this duel was Fear of Flying earning the high score in round 2, earning themselves 2 more points than Bruce Jennertalia that round. It just so happens that 2 points is also how many the duel was won by as Bruce Jennertalia takes the bronze & Fear of Flying takes the silver!

Newcomers HOME-A-LONERS proved themselves to be survivors during this difficult game as they were the only team to get 2 successful doubles! This easily sealed their victory as they finish in 1st, take the gold, & become the champions of the night!

A photo-finish was how Wednesday's King Trivia extravaganza ended at 1739 Public House. A trio of thoroughbreds were neck-and-neck throughout the evening. It came down to the final round and team Bruce Jennertalia knew 2 more best-selling car brands of 2017. What drove them to victory? A great host, an amazing atmosphere and plenty of tasty, tasty beer.

Speaking of beer, the Penis is Mightier took won a round of drinks for their team by winning the tie-breaking question in round 5. Three teams finished the round with the same score, and it all came down to a ridiculous tie-breaking question... the Penis is Mightier held true to their name and in the end, came out ahead.

The rain couldn't prevent what was a wild game of trivia tonight at public house, with newcomer "The Firetruck Outside Tho" taking home the big prize!

Bruce Jennertalia was in the lead all night, but the questions started going the right way for "Fear of Flying" and the firetruck team, as their great knowledge of Super Smash brothers led them to some successful double or nothings at the end of the night.

"Fear of flying" was also the only team to boldly for for the "who am I" question on the first clue, and they were rewarded with 10 points, and second place! They owe one to the Piano man, Billy Joel.

Thanks to everyone who gave me a warm welcome as the guest host, and were patient with me as I learned the lay of the land.
