Yet another heated game at the AC Hotel Lounge. The teams this week kept the game interesting for everyone. Early in the game it looked as though 'Cary' might be headed for victory, but 'Martin' and 'Christopher' kept everyone on their toes as they both rocketed ahead in Round 4. 'King Howie' was a late addition to the game in Round 2, but held their own, and made it all the way to a tie breaking question with 'Sour Patch Kid' for third place. But 'Christopher' edged out a victory in the final round, with a 1 point lead over 'Martin', taking away the first place prize.

The game was as heated as ever. Our three top teams were all newbies to the game, but they battled it out with the grit and determination of seasoned King Trivia players. 'Robert', a team of one, and 'CLE' a group of three sleep deprived individuals visiting from the East Coast battled it out for first place, with 'CLE' just barely clenching the victory in Round 7 by a single point. 'It's Her Birthday' claimed third place with an admirable 23 points. Everyone walked away happy with their prizes, courtesy of the AC Hotel, and I think we might even see a couple of these great teams back next week.

The first game at the AC Hotel in Irvine was a success. Being at a hotel lounge meant a majority of the teams were first time players visiting from out of state, which added an interesting element to the game.

'Highway Stars' grabbed the lead in the first round and maintained that lead all the way to the end with 56 points. 'Do Not Congratulate' was close behind, never leaving their 2nd place spot, and ending the game with 51 points. But the truly impressive team for this game was the hotel manager himself, along with his team 'Best Pals'. We made it clear early on in the game that they weren't in contention for any of the prizes, but boy did they make the game interesting. After showing up late for the game and not officially playing until Round 3, 'Best Pals' rocketed up to 3rd place with two successful Double or Nothings in a row, ending the game with 49 points. 'It's "Stormy" Weather', however, walked away with the 3rd place prize with 45 points after a successful Double or Nothing in Round 7 themselves.

It was a great game with some great teams, and I look forward to seeing what the AC Hotel brings next Thursday.
