QUIZ RECAP

It was a quiet evening at The Angry Horse with a handful of patrons chatting at the bar and relaxing after a hard workday. There was a smell of tacos, succulent and juicy, wafting through the back entrance enticing each and all of us. Then King Trivia began and everything started to change. The few tables of customers converted into battling teams, each vying for point supremacy in a close race for prizes (not to mention the pride) of winning the night's contest. Although only three teams started and only three teams finished, soon the energy of the room began to draw in more and more customers who chose to join our little game unofficially. There were some brilliant plays by each team including a performance by a member of Clueless who daringly sang 'Under the Sea' in front of the entire bar for a bonus point. And though the brave songster's effort was appreciated by all, the crowned victor of the night was the Brewskis who consistently put up excellent numbers in each round. And just like that, the collective fun was over. Until next week!

QUIZ RECAP

The quiz junkies at Angry Horse decided to kick off the new year right by drinking lots of beer and battling it out over 7 rounds of triviatastic delight. With a new quizmaster at the helm there was no telling where the night would lead. Luckily all hands made it through the gauntlet of questions unscathed, yet not without plenty of laughs and several rounds of supportive applause for some outstanding performances from several of the players. Although each of the 8 teams gave it their all, the trivia throne at Angry Horse would eventually be claimed by a single victor - a team that went by the enigmatic acronym YOLO.

Will YOLO be able to defend their title next week from the teaming masses of hungry competitors nipping at their heels? Only one way to find out! The next round of fun will be on January 9th @ 7 pm. Be there or .... well, just be there okay?!

All the ho ho ho's came out to the Angry Horse and were simply having a wonderful quizzing time!

The Wishbones need to give themselves more credit for being King Trivia virgins -- they did wonderful! Team Kick Ass and 30-40-50 also had a blast going head to head against each other to see which side of the table could best dominate!

But ultimately, Brewskis' understanding of the Bethlehem connection, Sparky's Christmas song knowledge, and Verified Fake Team's Rockefeller Center smarts scored these teams $6, $12, and $18, respectively.

And my little elf and Quizmaster-in-Training Ryan was a delight on the mic! Have a wonderful Christmas, dear friends -- we'll see you again soon!
