Santa is making his list and checking it twice and you're either going to wind up as a winner or a loser in the eyes of Old Saint Nick. Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen can't help you decide whether or not to double - that's all on you. So stuff your stocking full of encyclopedias, People Magazine and a world atlas because 2019 is going to keep the challenges coming and if you're not standing underneath the mistletoe with a ho ho ho, you're going to find yourself holding coal instead of gift cards.

Overstuffed with stuffing, tripping on tryptophan, stomaches twerking with twerky, monster mashing with mashed potatoes and macked out on mac and cheese - our players returned from the holiday with a few extra pounds to throw around in our first post Thanksgiving game. Only three teams would be left tonight to give thanks for the gift cards they were about to receive while the remainder of our Puritans were shipped up back on the Mayflower and sent back out to sea to contemplate their losses. Other things they can contemplate on that boat would be that Meghan Trainor's fans are not referred to as "alone" but as "Megatrons" - all two of them anyway - and that Boniface, Innocent and Pious are all indeed popular Pope names. The night got progressively harder as bread was broken and teams tried to withstand the pressure of the game - and the belt on their pants - but not everybody was slow on the uptake as Heavy Lumber came back for seconds again and again and again. Cleaning his plate with the rest of the challengers tonight, our first place team wasn't so much giving as they were receiving point upon point upon point. This just means that the rest of you need to hit the books - and the gym - and come back next week with full eyes and full hearts instead of full tummys.
