The night was full of laughs - and competition. Starch Sadness and Team Butts set the tone with 12 point round 1s, but the Ditigal Lobsters pulled ahead with a higher-value round 2 double! Things found an even keel in round 3 as teams scratched their heads for most of the clues and round 4 took more than a little bit for the majority to seize upon the correct answer. Round 5 was near disaster as no one was able to grasp the clue, and for that matter, exceed 60%, but in round 6, five double downs pushed teams further apart- and each of our winners tonight. In round 7, with math against them most teams opted for a double-attempt, yet no one was able to land it, bonus points for team numbers and returned pens being the only saving throw option, left our round 6 leaders in position to take the game.

What a night! We had a lot of newcomers who had already finished most of their finals playing for keeps before the rain came in to wash away any stench of defeat, or to shower those lucky few with the divine pure water of victory.

High scores marked the first round for most teams, although caution favoured discretion and double-downs were wisely avoided by most. The second round had our first double, the Quizlamic State, being the only perfect score in the first two rounds, they certainly jumped forth, but the consistency of their competition in still scoring high kept thigns rolling. Catching up in round 3, The Flash and HH2 friends whizzed into double points along with Barney Shore. Few teams were able to turn in until clue 3 in round 4, but then it was a deluge of points with no teams answering incorrectly, and only one declining in the face of any penalty.

Round 5 went middling, and round 6 was a bit tragic, with eight double attempts, only one of which, from HH2 Friends landed, separating a great many from prize contention. Round 7 redeemed nearly all, with forlorn hopes ending in zeroes, but nine successful double downs! That proved necessary for The Flash, and Happy Birthday John to maintain their standing and take Second and Third, respectively, but after a consistend build of high scores in previous rounds, HH2 friends were safe, and didn't necessarily need their round 7 20 point jump.

Finals are looming at UCLA, so what better way to prepare than get the neurons electrified with some King Trivia!

Almost everyone scored above 50% on round 1, but the Brewsual Suspects and Free Drinks on me began tonight with double points, setting clear tones that they're forces to be reckoned with.

Round 2 was impressive overall, with scores in the 81st percentile, while 3 settled into a contour of the clarion variety.

A devastating round 4 as the majority of confidence proved unfounded and the scorekeepers handed out negative ones like ice cubes in a desert. Conservative play ruled the day from then on, with the exception of a round 5 Double down for Brewsual Suspects lobbing them past Molotov Ducktails that, combined with some goose eggs sealed the standings by the end of round 7, the aforementioned teams sandwiching newcomers "Preferred Walk-Ons".
