What a night filled with frivolity, beer specials, and special teams. Not the kind that comes in to prevent a field goal attempt or make that hail mary, the kind that double down in the eleventh hour and win the game!

There was a big debut for the Quizlamic State as they topped the charts for the first two rounds. By round three, however, they were outmatched by Funny Bois + Holly and the Baseball Butts with some well-placed doubles.

Round 4 didn't keep people guessing long as the finer points of Anderson Cooper had most teams answer correctly by the second and third clues, and no one got it wrong.

Teams searched all over the Lands for the connection, but it eluded them to Land's end and no one got a full score for that round. The theme was "Land", get it?

Buckling down in round 6, about half the teams doubled successfully making for a resounding round 7, coming down to the wire, where those who doulbed, won, or NARROWLY missed out. The Brewsual Suspects were very gracious to step aside and let newcomers Harden sucks fat Monkey Cock and Who is Barney tiebreak for first, followed by the Baseball Butts triumphantly claiming 3rd.

25 Teams joined us, even as the Bruins Basketball Team was hitting the court.

The night started off a bit rocky with a few zeroes and low scores, however, debut double-downs helped launch the two teams who would finish first in a prophetic show of force.

Round 2 saw a small climb in the average, which was quickly dashed in round 3 as teams struggled valiantly to fit the theme into some more specialized knowledge of Sea and Air. Eminem rapped his way into the minds of many quizzers with a record high average score in round 4, followed by a round 5 where the leaders emerged, securing a vast lead over those who would find themselves out of contention by at least a dozen points by round 7. Round six saw some teams drop off under pressure, but those who remained pitched a bitter battle of wits that Raged into the economic front for the final round, with narrow victories achieved in the upper echelons.

The Bruins are Back in full force and packed barney's like a can of...well, beans, of course! Fairly high score-spread to start off in round 1, but round 2 had other plans and teams had a devil of a time identifying their queries, and we saw our first zeroes. round 3 was a little forgiving, but round 4 was harsh to all but few (maybe it's an evens thing?).

The Brewsual Suspects secured their second double-down of the night, but this one was worth a lot more. They would repeat this in round 6, but joined by six other teams for a high-value round all 'round! Round 6 seemed like a walk in the park for most teams, but round 7 was a harsher foe, rivaled only by the fateful round 4 of not-so-long-ago.

Fixing to be the powerhouses of 2019, Brewsual Suspects won the day!
