Sing-alongs, Amy Winehouse biographers, LA Kings jerseys, mad music knowledge, and SNL devotees -- those who were a strong combination of those 5 variables rose to the top at Barney's Beanery in Westwood on Wednesday evening.

A games were brought -- as our winners approached triple digits in points, and team who went home with no cash prize but swelling with knowledge pride scored in excess of 60 points.

It was a regular -- Yasssss Queens, who finished with 3 straight double or nothing rounds to flip a small deficit into a Wednesday night trivia championship.

Now THAT'S a game of King Trivia. 42 teams. 168 players.  Gold ($100), Silver ($50), and Bronze ($25) places to glory.  A music round thrown in the middle for free food and drinks courtesy of Barney's Beanery Westwood -- Wednesday night had it all.

First through Fourth place separated by 8 points. Precise answering, and where one team zigged (Big Baller Band going double or nothing on the 10 Passover Plagues) the other zagged (Bloodbath & Beyond did not, but go them all correct) -- giving us a 1 point second place to third place differential.

Oh, when you play name that tune, and everyone finishes Avril Lavigne's Complicated by singing in upstairs/downstairs, no empty table unison -- you've got yourself a true King Trivia show.

Spring break don't stop the Barney's Westwood Wednesday hijinks. 21 teams took time out from their Lake Havasu/Tijuana/Acapulco vacations to join in on the King Trivia mania on Wednesday.

It was a 4 team race on this night -- with movie going, tv show watching, and tv theme song knowing proving the difference between 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and the rest -- as Yaas Queens stormed to the lead with their Jennifer Garner and movie spoiler knowledge, with just 3 points separating 2nd place (aptly named Survivors) and 4th (Ribalet Surprise) who for the second straight week refused to show up to claim what's rightfully their (free drinks and food offered by Barney's for game players for mid-game contest victories).

Music round for free stuff is taking off. So is claiming the King Trivia championship belt on Wednesdays.
