Rain, Blown-out speakers, and a delayed start due to audio difficulties proved to be mere speed bumps, not obstacles, to the trivia chaos at Barney's Westwood for King Trivia last night... 26 teams, the difference between 2nd and 8th, proving to be 10 points... and a team that took command of the game with a pair of successful 2x or nothing rounds early, and some strong Q&A playing late ...

Music round for drinks & apps were rewarded to those who have jumped on the Greta Van Fleet train (since everyone is well versed in their Kendrick Lamar-ology on the UCLA campus).  And, oh, yeah -- everyone loved taking a trip to the Land of Make Believe with the Mr. Rogers Guess Who? round...

Pi Day, NCAA tournament eve, the looming St. Patrick's Day weekend all combined for a festive evening a Barney's Beanery in Westwood.  An intensely close competition that lead to having to break a 3rd place tie, and a first round successful versus successful double or nothing proved the difference between 1st and 2nd.

Green hair won the "wearing the most green" free appetizer contest, and an insanely level of music knowledge brought in the free drinks.

Good time, per usual, on Wednesdays with King Trivia!

What a night! On International Women's day eve, 21 teams showed out to Barney's Beanery Westwood. It was a fabulous night of fun, frivolity, and a few crazy hard questions. Starting off the game with a wide point spread, those behind wasted no time closing the gap. Playing conservatively was the key to this game as round 3 rolled in with each of the initial heavy hitters getting Goose Eggs for unsuccessful double-downs! We all seemed to know a little about Justice League, but the lesser-known team of outcasts Justice League Dark hastily unseated our leaders, hitting a few so hard, they couldn't recover, leaving the game to the rest of us.

A harrowing drinking round with every team shooting so high above, the low flying of "Bring Back Dos Equis" won a round on Barney's.

After a surprisingly gruesome round 5, we all paused to lick our wounds and representatives from each team faced off in a grisly mini-tourney of Rock, Paper, and/or Scissors, ending with a final showdown between "Team of 3" and, fittingly, "Just the 3 of us now", but Team of 3 took the Appetizer prize with a Scissors that shocked us all.

Put off from Double-Downs, but undeterred by late arrivals "Champs" and "Mohlers",  it was a race to the finish as each team trusted only their surest bets, but by Round 7, only one Team Reigned Supreme, Redeeming themselves from a harshly missed Double-Down early in the game, "Meat Barn" took home the $100 first-place prize, although with their number of Players, the Player-To-Winnings ratio prize goes to our second place team with $50, "Team of 2".
