Great night at Barney's Beanery in Westwood on Wednesday night!

It was my first night hosting as a trivia master and all the teams were amazing and did a fantastic job!  I'd like to give a special shout-out to Laurel for being my scorekeeper, it was immensely helpful with such a large game!

It was a pretty close game throughout for many of the teams including Morgan Freeman's Voice, Miguel, and Tequila Mockingbird. A couple of double or nothings ended up flipping the script, and scores ended up changing, but it was a close score by the end of it.

Special congrats to Black Panther, for coming in 2nd place even after missing the first round.  Comeback of the century!

Congrats to the teams of Tequila Mockingbird, Black Panther, and T'Challah Back Girls for their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place standings.

QUIZ RECAP

DOUBLE OR NOTHING. Before every game, like every top notch host, I not only go through the rules of double or nothing, but stress that I've yet to see a game where the team taking home the night's trivia championship belt (and the cash prizes graciously awarded by Barney's Beanery), did not successfully double at least once.

Tonight was no different, as our champs on the night used a 1st round double, staved off some hard charging second place teams, and even saw their closest competitors slip like short track speed skaters as they tried a late game double or nada that did not pan out...

Congrats to Fergie's National Anthem, the team, not the actual anthem, that was just, well.... ...something.

Valentine's Day brought out returning teams, new teams, a fun loving group of British students studying from abroad, and a big rousing international birthday, complete with a birthday song request.

But, in the end, a working knowledge of dating websites swung a 1 point deficit into a 2 point win, and a V-day victory for the aptly named Barney's is my Valentine...
