QUIZ RECAP

It was a warm night in Westwood Wednesday night, as trivia lovers gathered at Barneys Beanery to compete for the title of trivia champs! The competition was fierce! How fierce!? Well, let's say, as fierce as the competition between THESE GUYS!

It came down to a tie-breaker between Too Many Cooks and Heavy Lumber, who were asked to name the year original construction was complete on the Panama Canal, with TMC offering the closest incorrect guess.

Tim Tebow's Baseball Team completes our trio of winners from this night's quiz. But I also wanna give a shout out to The Deplorables and No Flux Given, just because I liked their team names.

No such props shall be offered to the smart-alecky peeps of  See Men All Over. I see whatcha did there, you young rapscallions. Now get a towel and clean up your mess!

QUIZ RECAP

You know it's been a god game when the top five teams are separated by fewer than 10 points. After all, you can pick up 10 points with just one well-timed double-or-nothing, which means that 4th and 5th place finishers Sponsorship in Part By... and 3LOL were within striking distance of the top three - and Boko Harambe was just one point further out.

Speaking of the top three, our tournament-registered friends Trivia Newton John and longtime regular Barney's competitor STELLA!! finished in second and third place, respectively (and respectfully). But those gorilla-loving kids who claim that Harambe Drinks at Sepis' won the night with a come-from-behind double in the final round.

All in all, another great night at Barney's Beanery. See ya next week. (You prolly oughta arrive early, if you want to be sure about a table. Things are heatin' up again on trivia night!)

Wow! You wanna tawk about competition? We gotchur competition right here!! It was another exhilarating night at Barney's Westwood - the BEST trivia competition anywhere within 100 miles (on a Wednesday. In Westwood. With a host named Tim)

I mean...I don' wanna brag, but we've got the BEST Wednesday night, Tim-hosted, Barney's based trivia show ANYWHERE!! And ya can't beat that with a stick!

Did I mention competition? Look at those scores! No fewer than four impressive teams were within 10 points of our top three last night. But Childish Harambino displayed formidable skills, doubling on the 1st, 3rd, 5th and 7th rounds! (They scored 10 on Round 6 as well, but didn't double! Slackers!)

Kardash in my Mouth put up a good fight, but fell ten points shy of the leaders. (Perhaps if you'd have opted to double on your perfect Round 5, we'd have had a tie-breaker, Kardash!) You know what they say: "No Guts, No Glory!!"

Beeches be Trippin'! rounded out our top three, and I really gotta tell ya: doze Beeches? Dey be trippin'!!

Oh! And lest we forget, the David Schwimmer haters from last week were back for another go-round last night. Still not sayin' why they are so obsessed with the man, but they put up a very respectable score of 63, so ya gotta admire that. See ya next week!
