The Fourth night of Channukah had a fairly decent turnout for our littel Bruin Den, and competition was fierce, like bear. Many teams had trouble out the gate, but perked up with high scores all around in round 2. Round 3 had a bit of a dip, and round 4 saw most teams scratching their heads, wondering when they'd figure it out. More than a few -1s peppered the salty dispo0siions as most teams scored 4 or lower.

The second half of the game was a bit more interesting as double-downs began to fly, but oh so very few were able to land! Buckling down, a few teams were able to double in rounds 6 and 7, but only one of them would gain enough points to take the podium. In the end, it was the consistency of high-ish scores that won out, with only a one point difference between places 1 and 2!

Finals are looming at our local university, so what better way to warm up one's mind than with seven rounds of delightful trivia?

17 teams engaged in tonights battle of withs, with almost half doubling successfully in round 2. Brutality was just around the corner, however and the next 3 rounds went rather rough for almost everyone, with most teams scoring less than half of the point possibility for each round. By round 6, teams were trying their best, but wary of the math of the situation, a few knew their only help at glory was to double down and for most it did not go well. Some consistent scoring, however, and a double-down here-and-there served the Brewsual Suspects and Stop Cheating! I see you. who landed just ahead of third place Deer Noises

'Twas the night before thanksgiving and all through the bar, every quizzer was quibbling over questions bizzare.

What's better than braving the transportation congestion just before mass Turkeycide? Saving those sweet gobblers, avoiding your family, and going to pub trivia instead!

We had a racuous time in Westwood this Wednesday with 7 rounds of glorious trivia and a special Guest Quizmaster for a few rounds. Thanks, Susanna!

Things started off slowly with a few hits and more misses than we'll go into in round one, but by round 2, most teams had learned that doubling down may be the way to win this game, and we were joined by a fresh batch of fun in "Karate Chop". The guess who round was unexpectedly brutal for most teams, but we sallied forth into the second half of the game. "Bronx" - a team with a few perfect rounds under thier belts- found an essential route to victory when they asked the quizmaster "Hey, what's this double down you keep talking about? How is everyone getting so many points?" just in time, too. Once they were clued in, there were only 2 rounds left, but they were able to successfully double both, more than doubling their total score in round 5, launching them from second to first place for the game!
