It was a busy and energy night at Brewery Draconum. Veterans made bold moves, and newcomers had fun. Round 1 proved to be relatively difficult. Most teams earned about 3 or 4 points, but those with a registered team were in the lead thanks to the 2 extra points. In the Picture Round, Boner Thugz N' Harmony doubled and secured a lead of 23 points. They were followed by Elifino (12 points), and Cool Arrows (10 points). Dragon Style flew up to 2nd place in Round 3 with a successful Double Or Nothing. The competition at the top was starting to get fiery. Like the Dovahkiin vs. Alduin. Like Bilbo vs. Smaug. Like Drake vs. Pusha T.

Then came the Guess Who Round. No team got the ten point clue, but Elifino and Fission Chips managed to get it at 8 points. They really know about "The Sex Queen of Stratford." Round 5 saw another bold move, this time by Fission Chips. They doubled to 20 points, moved up to 2nd. Boner Thugz N' Harmony still had the lead with 42 points, but three teams were hot on their trail. 2 Girls World Cup saw that doubling could pay off, and made an attempt themselves in Round 5. Unfortunately they failed and got 0 points for the round.

The leader-board was completely re-arranged in Round 7. both Dragon Style and Elifino doubled successfully. With this, Elifino earned a first place finish. Dragon Style finished just 1 point behind them, left in the smoke. The team who was in the lead the whole game ended up in third, a truly shocking upset. This just proves that now lead is safe with King Trivia!

QUIZ RECAP

It was a packed night, with people gathering for good times, good brew, and a game of trivia! There's was a healthy mix of veterans and newcomers like Women With A Sting, Pink Light Skooma, and Mikey Likes It. Round 1 started with Boner Thugz N' Harmony successfully doubling. Tenpole Tudors missed an opportunity to get double points, and there were strong showings from Class of '72 and To Think Or 2 Drink. Round 2 made the teams realize that they need to brush up on their geography, but Class of '72 only missed one for this round.

Boner Thugz N' Harmony tried to double again for the third round. Unfortunately, they got nothing and Elifino was able to tie them for the lead. Teams were over-anxious for the Guess Who Round. 5 of the 9 teams guessed wrong and lost a point, while all but 1 of the successful teams got 6 points. Boner Thugz N' Harmony made up for their failed double in Round 5. However, Elifino was right on their tail with a successful double or nothing.

Then there was the drinking round. Teams had to identify as many songs as possible on the viral Axis of Awesome hit, "4 Chords Song." Boner Thugz N' Harmony won the free round of drinks by identifying 27 of the 38 songs. In Round 6, 3 teams should have doubled: Boner Thugz N' Harmony, Mikey Likes It, and Elifino. Class of '72 also did well, getting 9/10 for this round.

Scores were all over the place in Round 7, with teams getting nearly all the answers and others getting none. In the end, Boner Thugz N' Harmony took first, Elifino grabbed second, and Class of '72 came in third. If Mikey Likes It had doubled in round 6, they could have won the third place prize by a narrow lead of 1 point. It goes to show you just how important double or nothing can be in this game.

Eight Teams celebrated memorial day with a game of King Trivia at Brewery Draconum. Round 1 was close, but Boner Thugz N' Harmony started with the lead at 7 points. Round 2 kept the game pretty close. Nearly every team had 8-12 points. The 5 Lightbulbs, Aleing Failures, and Boner Thugz N' Harmony were tied for the lead. The game was getting off to a competitive start.

In Round 3, Aleing Failures succeeded where most other teams failed, and grabbed the lead. The Guess Who Round proved to be a challenge. Two clues and unsuccessful guesses went by until Boner Thugz N' Harmony and Aleing Failures guessed David Lynch for 6 points. The only team to get more than 5 points in Round 5 was Boner Thugz N' Harmony, getting them back in the lead.

In the Drinking Round, teams had conversations using only questions. The finalists were very skilled at the game, and had an extremely long and impressive game. Ultimately Aleing Failures won the round of drinks.

The game got intense in Round 6. Where's Kathryn successfully doubled, earning 20 points. Boner Thugz N' Harmony were in the lead with 39 points, with Aleing Failures and Where's Kathryn tied at 38 points. Boner Thugz N' Harmony managed to keep the lead in Round 7, winning with 47 points. However, Aleing Failures and Where's Kathryn were still tied for 2nd. They both had to guess the weight of Koko the gorilla, and Where's Kathryn was closest, earning the 2nd place prize.
